Between Sea, Mountains and Orchids - my research
My work evolves at the intersection of close observation, scientific precision and artistic interpretation. My education is rooted in classical studies, particularly Latin and Ancient Greek, which have shaped my perception of natural structure.
Raised between the sea of Magna Graecia - influenced by sun, wind and the scent of bergamot - and the Swiss Alps, where I have spent most of my life, I combine
Mediterranean sensitivity with Alpine precision, alongside the study of European orchids of the genus Ophrys. This approach is further shaped by a deep affinity for timeless Japanese aesthetics -
particularly principles of reduction, stillness and the appreciation of imperfection.
My work as an interior architect, lecturer, and my research in three-dimensional precision define an approach based on structure, proportion and detail. This forms the foundation of my artistic
practice.
At the MOMO PURE atelier in the herbal region of Grossdietwil/Lucerne, I develop spatial concepts, floral installations and botanical sculptures for an international clientele. Each work is
unique, created through close observation, scientific precision and a consciously
slow, meticulous process. I create botanical sculptures in paper - with the ambition of museum-level quality and as a
contribution to preserving plant morphology for future Generations.
